Well it has been almost a year since I have posted here and I am wondering if I will remember to keep posting something every so often...

I have lost ALL interest in scrapping, not sure when or if that will come back, I am still running the blogs, Kraft It Up, White With 1 and Scrap The Boys, links are on the sidebar if you want to have fun with a challenge...

I am almost 6 months pregnant and I think that has had something to do with the loss of mojo, the girls are busy with swimming and dancing, soccer season is almost over for Matt thank christ, its been a long one this year although they have won their league and also the state title for their division so they are pretty happy about that...

Work is busy, not so much with customers at the moment but with organising everything for Back To School and we will also be doing our own stationery packs this year as well as what we normally do not sure if we are a little mad their considering this baby is due last day of school and then we still have to do stocktake and have the auditor come in :-0

Dance comps start again in 2 and a bit weeks a long week of running here and there thank goodness we are heading to Coles Bay for a few days with friends the following week so hopefully the weather will be nice!

Anyhow not much else to update with so if you actually read this say HI :-)

OK so it seems I havent been here for 11 months :-0 HOLY MOLEY............

Nevermind I will try and update when I can, well that is the plan LOL.

What has happened in the past 11 months, WIOIN Kits has grown heaps more than I though it would and we have a few changes coming on September 1 for the site...

I started Kraft It Up, a challenge blog for all those KRAFT lovers out there and we are in our 7 month now and it is going great guns, so happy about that, we have a few new CT faces so head on over and play along if you havent done so before.

It's been awhile...

Since I have been over to my poor neglected blog, I am sure no one reads it anyhow LOL!

Things are sooo busy with What Is Old Is New, I have had to take a step back from a few commitments, Scrap The Girls, which I have passed on to the very wonderful Kayla, she has given the site a revamp and is super organised, I am still amazed by your organisation skills Kayla LOL!

Scrapbook N Bits also was a victim over my never having enough time, Karen and the DT girls are amazing and I thoroughly enjoyed my time there, such a great site!

However with just a little bit more free time I have decided to sign up for Embellished IDOL, I have been in this comp before and have such a great time, I am looking forward to scrapping just for me layouts, hopefully I can keep up with 1 a week...

We just completed our first challenge and you had to get inspiration from this....

and this is what I created...

Of course I left it till the last minute and had to do it in a very short time frame, it took about 25 minutes but I still like it!

Just a couple of things coming up, firstly there's another Cybercrop on at Scrapbook 'N' Bits this Friday, 27 March starting at 8.30pm NSW time, there will be 3 challenges and a game of bingo on the night so if you're looking for something to do, pop in and say hi :)

There is a brand new kit site around... its... NEW,EXCITING,CHEAP...it's "What Is Old Is New".

Some of my gorgeous friends and I are selling these kits, made for under $20.00 (limited kits available per month).

The good thing about these kits, they are all co-ordinated from older scrapping stuff to the most modern papers and embellishments around.

Scrap The Girls CT Call

Here are the details...

We have recently had a couple of CT girls resign due to other commitments so this opens up a chance for you to apply and become a part of the STG team!!!

Here are some details:

We are looking for 3-4 girls to join the team here at Scrap The Girls.
If you would be interested please send us 2 of your favourite layouts, they must be recent and you also need to complete the March Sketch Challenge, also you need to let us know why you would like to be part of the team.

* As a STG team member you will be required to complete an example layout for the monthly challenge and also submit 1-2 other layouts, girl orientated of course, at least one of these can be a layout that you have already completed but must not be part of Design Team work.

* You will be required to provide the CT RAK once for one of our challenges.

* You will also need to participate in at least one of our swaps.

* You may be called upon to create the monthly challenge and you will need to advertise the Scrap The Girl site whenever and wherever you can!!!

What you get in return, the opportunity to help inspire others to get scrapping gorgeous girly layouts!You get publicity and recognition for your gorgeous creations!

If you would like to apply please email me at: scrapthegirls@hotmail.com by the 25th March 2009, if you can put "Team Submission" in the subject line that would be great.

If selected you will be required to complete the April CT example by the 30th March.

What happening...

I have been scrapping, thankfully as my stash is getting out of control....

Last weekend Scrapbook 'N' Bits had there Feb Cybercrop, it was a great time and the girls created some amazing layouts for the challenges, here are my two examples the first one was for Julies sketch challenge and the second for Jolene's technique challenge, you had to create at least two hand made embellies, so I used some chipboard and cut out two hearts then painted them with some Tim Holtz Distress Crackle Paint, then stamped over them with a Stampin Up script stamp.

Our March challenge is up at Scrap The Girls, this month Creative Team Member Liz Weber created a gorgeous sketch and this is my example

We also have a swap happening this month, if you would like to join please head on over HERE and sign up, this month is PINK, which means you can make anything as long as it is PINK!!!! Sign up closes on the 10th March.

This layout was just for fun, I got a parcel of the YUMMIEST Sassafras Lass papers and couldnt wait to have a play so this is what I did yesterday, please excuse the photo I am having issues getting a decent pic of my layouts lately.

I am helping a friend out with a site which will be up and running soon, all I am going to say is, yummy cute kits, small enough not too break the budget!!!!!

Some exciting news...

I am now a DESIGN TEAM MEMBER for the gorgeous Karen at SCRAPBOOK 'N' BITS, I am so excited :-) There was a competition and we had to send in layouts using bright colours, as the DT spot was for someone who could use brights! So I sent off the below layouts and made it to the Top 5, we then had to scrap a male LO using specific criteria that Karen emailed us, my male LO is below too, I was then picked with the gorgeous Monique Follett, who does fantastic work as well, so excited!!!!!!!!!!

Anyhow I will be setting the monthly challenge for March and have a DT kit on the way, can't wait to get started!!!

Also we have a Cyber Crop this coming weekend Friday the 20th, 8.30 QLD time or 7.30 VIC, NSW & TAS time, Jolene has organised some great challenges so make sure you head over to win some vouchers and play some games!!!!

Will update later in the week, back at work fulltime for a few weeks, I so want to get some more scrapping done but who knows what is going to happen, although there is a long weekend coming up so thats always a bonus, it means we have Matt home for an extra day this week YAY!!!

I cant believe it is already the 4th of January, it seems only yesterday that we were heading into December....

So our first month at Scrap The Girls came and went, with our first challenge, we got around 20 entries which I was SOOO happy with considering it was the silly month and all that...

I have been looking after my aunty and uncle's holiday rental properties since Christmas Eve and although I was scared as anything that I was going to stuff something up, I am really liking it, its quite busy with all the different things you have to do but I only have around 2 weeks to go, then we are back at work full time from the 19th for Uniform Fittings and Book Orders, I started at Scotch at this time last year and it was crazy, just hope I can find sitters for the kids as Matt is still down in Coles Bay until middle of Feb...

I still havent finished my December Daily album, so should shove off and get that done, I really want to finish it, not like all my other half finished mini albums...

WOW Christmas Eve, I cant believe I havent posted a blog entry since November 11...

Things have been super busy, I have hardly scrapped and am behind in completing my December Daily album, although I am ready for Christmas, just a few gifts to wrap, food is organised, just need to put the pool up for the kids, clean up my scrapping desk and hopefully that will get things moving again, it isnt for lack of new things toplay with either.
I have ordered a heap of the new BG Bittersweet from Blue Bazaar and am hanging out for that to turn up so hopefully next week woohoo!!!

Anyhow this is just a quick update and to wish everyone I know a Merry Christmas and a Safe New Year!!

I will post some Xmas pics and hopefully my almost finished December Daily album soon LOL!

An overdue update again...

Long time no post again, things have been busy, I have hardly scrapped anything except for this weekend I have completed 4 layouts in 3 days which is MASSIVE for me LOL!

I have a HUGE stack of Sassafras Lass here all the new lines to play with, I am in love with BG's Urban Prairie, not getting sick of using that at all and I still want to play more with the Mr Campy too, just need to find the time.

*** White with 1 are having their first ever swap, this month's colour is TEAL, if you would like to play along please head on over HERE and follow Suse's instructions :-)

Speaking of White with 1 I am a bit slack this month, if you want to join in here are this months requirements:

This month I have taken inspiration from one of the Halloween colours (even though we don't really celebrate it in Aus...I thought it would be fun)...

Here is my example LO -

We are off to Melbourne this week to take the kids to the Zoo and the Aquarium we are also looking at some Spec Home Estates for Matt's boss not looking forward to driving over there but hoping that the Nav Man will be helpful, the kids are super excited and are counting down the sleeps, Chloe has her wallet out and is saving some money and Nan Heather is going to give them some paper money so they are looking forward to that LOL!

For this week's SYTYCS we had to do a LO based on heartfelt journaling, minimum of 100 hand written words or 200 typed, 1 piece of patterned paper and a photo no larger than 6x4. It took me a while as to waht to write as I havent really had anything really sad happen to me, so I decided to write how I worry about Chloe's shyness...This next one is for Embellished's FNL challenge for this weekend, you had to life one of four Kelly Goree layouts and use at least one Basic Grey item, I used the Urban Prairie and had heaps of fun with it, I love Kelly's work so it wasnt a tough challenge LOL!

Scraptacular - SYTYCS Week 4

SO this weeks scrap-eography was:

You need to create a LO either 12 x 12 or 8.5x11 and include the following on the layout.

- masking tape (or another form of decorative sticky tape)
- rub-ons
- add hand written journalling directly onto your photo
- use bright colors

So here is what I created this afternoon, totally different to what I normally do but I really like it!!!We had Chloe's soccer presentation today and she got up on stage with her team plus Lily and accepted her trophy and typically me what did I forget?? Yes a camera LOL! then lily waited until the next team went up while I was madly waving to her to sit down and she is shouting out HUH? and What???? SO EMBARASSING LOL! Anyhow Matt had to go up to the stage and get her off, she is such a funny kid that one!

Tonight we are off out for mums birthday dinner so that should be good and then its back to another week, why is it that weekends go far too fast and weekdays take forever to end LOL!

Oh and congrats to all the Hawks fans out there, I really thought Geelong would win, I dont think the hawks played any better than they normally do, I just think Geelong didnt play like they normally do...
I was happy to see Shane Crawford get a Premiership medal since he has played for so long, now he can announce his retirement!!!
Actually one thing that makes me mad is that each year they get the little auskick kids up there to present the medals and the footy guys give them a hat, NOW I am sure that if you are not in the grand final and you are an AFL footballer you will watch the game, I think there is no excuse that when you go up to the little child and they put the medal on you and then they get the hat how hard is it to shake that childs hand????? There were a few of the hawks that couldnt even do that, yes I realise it is exciting but you are also adults and professional athletes it's not hard to make an effort and do the right thing up there!!!!!
OK so I have had my rant, I better head off LOL!

Finally on the mend...

Well school holidays have come and gone and the three of us, Chloe, Lily and myself were sick and spent pretty much most of it in bed LOL!
I ended up with some horrible reactions to the antibiotics I had but finally I think we are heading in the right direction.
Why is it that yourself or the kids always get sick on the school holidays?

I havent done a lot of scrapping just commitments for Stuck, Black Magic, White with 1, I am still in the running over at Scraptacular in their competition SO YOU THINK YOU CAN SCRAP, I have had heaps of fun with all three challenges so far!
I only managed one challenge over at Embellished on the weekend, they have started FRIDAY NIGHT GAMES again, which is always a heap of fun!!!

Matt is still spending his weekdays down at Coles Bay and looks like it will be that way for another couple of months, it was hard while we were sick but hopefully things will get a bit easier now!
Chloe starts swimming and trampolining back up this week, she had to put trampolining on hold during the soccer season as training was on trampolining nights so she is looking forward to that this week!
She also bought home a leaflet for Little Athletics for her school, not sure if we will sign up or not yet...

This one is for the 2nd challenge over at Black Magic, if you want to win yourself a Cropper Hopper Canvas Organiser head on over HERE!!!
All you need to do is create a layout using the the colours you wish from the specified colour scheme and the sketch provided and use PAINTS as your technique!!!Not sure what is going on there with the underline, I couldnt get rid of it???
So I am desperately waiting on Basic Grey's Urban Prairie and Sass Lass's new papers that I have ordered from AUS and the US cant wait to get them both and have a play, all I need is some new photos which I must do this week!
There is one more layout that I tried to upload but it kept coming up sideways so I chucked it and left it as I couldnt work out how to turn it around LOL!
I am off to watch a new show called True Blood, its a vampire show and I am totally addicted, I have been watching as soon as someone uploads as it airs on Sunday nights in the US they have only shown 3 episodes but I am hooked LOL!
Also loving the NEW 90210, Project Runway Season 5, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Supernatural and the second season of Secret Diary of a Callgirl, all of which I am watching online as I cant wait for them to reach here!

OH I almost forgot Sara from Stuck?! Sketches is looking for some new people to join the Creative Team,

Long time between posts...

As I am sitting here waiting for paint to dry, I thought I had better update my blog, thanks to a certain someone who tells me they are sick of seeing that I am still sick LOL! ;-)

Anyhow I had just started to get over what I had before when wham a lovely bout of gastro Saturday night hits me, what else could I get lately???
So I missed out on scrapping Sunday as I felt absolutely horrid, thankfully a good nights sleep last night did wonders and I woke up today feeling a bit better than I thought I would!
I have finished off a layout for a CC challenge over at Mystical and uploaded my SYTYCS layout yesterday at Scraptacular so I can share those layouts plus another one I did a couple of weeks ago...
Ok so this first one is my SYTYCS LO, using Mr Campy which I LOVE!!!This one is the CC Challenge at Mysticaland this one is one I started up at Susan's a couple of weeks ago!
Hopefully I will have more to share this week, I plan to get heaps of scrapping done over the next 2 weeks, I have even got organised and put my name down for 4 swaps over at Mystical and have 3 already finished and ready to go thanks to Wends for helping out today ;-)

The kids are on school holidays so we have a few things planned although poor Chloe is sick at the moment as well, we are going to head up to Grindlewald and play some Putt Putt golf and head to the movies to see Wall E, Matt is on holidays the following week so we are going to head to the minature world place near Sheffield and take the kids to the beach and a few other things, they are looking forward to spending heaps of time with him as he is working at Coles Bay, 2 hours away during the week and only comes home on the weekend, looks like it will be like that for the next couple of months too!

Still sick :-(

It has been over a week now and despite the drugs the doctor prescribed I dont really feel that much better, I am seriously tired all day then night time comes and I cant sleep???
I woke up this morning and literally can not hear out of my left ear and it feels all numb and icky, the right one is similar but I can hear a little better out of that one, hopefully the repeat of the medication will keep things moving.
Matt is in Coles Bay all week, so the girls and I are having a great girly time home alone LOL! We are heading down to CB this weekend with some friends and the kids are off to my sisters and mums for the weekend, it is going to be heaps of fun, I must remember to take my camera!!

Well I got voted out of IDOL last week, which I pretty much new was coming, I really didnt have a great creation for the last challenge and I struggled with it...
I am so happy I made it as far as I did because boy there were some talented ladies involved!!!
I am rooting for AM she seriously kicks butt and am loving everything that woman does at the moment!!!
In other news I havent done a lot of scrapping, I have finished my first layout for White With 1 for next month but cant show that yet, I have also done one for the Black Magic Blog but cant show that yet either LOL
Here is this weeks Stuck sketch, I am not overly happy with the LO but the sketch was a great one and am definitely going to use it again!

I am working on next week's Stuck sketch and have a long list of other things I want to do but am just not getting to them, I have no idea what is going on there!

Oh I got a great parcel of the new Basic Grey and I am in love, it is all so yummy!!! I have Mr Campy on the way from Embellished and cant wait for that, all I need now is some of that gorgeous Sass Lass!!!

Has been horrid apart from being crook all week and a week of hardly any sleep I still just managed to get my IDOL layout completed, this weeks challenge was a tough one again, they certainly are making us work for it thats for sure LOL!
You had to:
Create a 12x12 layout with all pp used (including background AND Cardstock) to be no bigger than 8cm square , you must include a Photo, Title and journaling....

Last night I completed my entry for Round 1 in the Scrapbooking Olympics over at CD Doodles
Our first challenge was to create a layout of any size using BLING, so this is what I whipped up last night whilst I was chatting to AM on MSN!!!
It is 6x12, half of a Jenni Bowlin Label, am really loving those colours, might have a play around with some more today if I get time...

Am looking forward to Phelp's last race today the Mens Relay I am so hoping they can win gold, not that I dont want Australia to win but just for the pure fact that I want him to get the record of 8 GOLD Medals!

Chloe played soccer yesterday and had a blinder! She was fantastic, gave some of the other boys some serious body shunting, although she gave away a free kick with one of them, she has been watching Uncle Ry Ry too much LOL and she scored two goals, she was quite pleased with herself!
The only have 2 games left and then they get a trophy so she is really excited about that LOL!

OK better go and do some housework, this place is a tip, I am sure I have forgotten something but will get to it later.

IDOL Rd 6...Phew!!!

Well this weeks IDOL challenge -

"Create your own embellishments - no store bought ones are to be used on the page and you must include plastic, metal and fabric. Page must contain at least 3 different handmade embellishments! The layout must contain Photo, title and journaling"

Needless to say I struggled with this one BIG TIME, I still don't know if it is finished and know that it is probably not one of my best but here it is have a look and tell me what you think :-) (be kind though LOL)
My requirements met:
Plastic - hand cut birds made from a Heidi Swapp plastic packet
Fabric - Leaves on the tree and clouds
Metal - the beaded leaf at the bottom of the page and the flowers, I found these button things in my nans old button box and used brads to make them look like flowers
Handmade Sun, tree, clouds, birds and leaves.
Products Used: SEI, Sass Lass, SR, Scrapworks.

I have been having heaps of fun with this competition and have created some layouts that I LOVE :-)
This weeks is another doozie, creating a non-person based LO!!! I already have some ideas, just need to get cracking LOL!

Embellished IDOL

Well I finished my IDOL layout after midnight last night but I had so much fun doing it, I went and purchased a new sewing machine, which is a big thing for me considering I only sew on layouts LOL!
It made such a difference and was so easy, I am hooked, look out for more sewing on future layouts LOL!

Well I made it through to round 3 in IDOL, thanks to everyone who voted for me, I really really appreciate it!!!
This week our challenge is to think outside the square, we have to scrap a life motto, however we are not able to use cardstock or paper as our base!!, I have mine beside me, just need to get started on it but I am loving it so far!!!

Embellished IDOL - Round 2

This week's challenge for Embellished IDOL was to use paints and a mask, now don't get me wrong I love paints and other mediums, I just don't know how to use them LOL!

In other news Chloe has gastro again, she was up last night vomiting which has been heaps of fun, she does look a little better now, getting a bit more colour in her cheeks, now it is just keeping Lily from touching anything that Chloe did or we will have last weekend all over again...

Well after much persuasion from a certain someone...cough, cough Melis :-) Here is a blog that will be just about me and nothing to do with my old site Scrap World, all about me and my creations!!!

On that note I suppose I had better get to it, I have a growing pile of things to do and no time at the moment to do anything.

This weekend is going to be pretty much soccer related with Chloe, she has her normal game on Saturday and then on Sunday they are playing at half time at the A-League game that is down here at Aurora stadium so I am hoping to get some great pics!!!

I had my hair cut and coloured today, love the colour but not so much the cut at the moment, will see how it looks after straightening tomorrow morning, speaking of hair cuts, MISS CHLOE had hers done tonight and she has been transformed.
Chloe wanted to have hers cute shorter like Lily's and she wanted a fringe, she has never had one so it is taking a bit of getting used to, here is a pic of what it used to look like and this one I took quickly to send to mum tonight, will get better ones soon.
Oh yeah she doesnt usually have it boofy like that either, although her curls are coming back...
